Another Spring semester, another great Health Informatics course.. This is an overview course for the fundamental and recurring themes in Biomedical Informatics. It is one of the area courses for Health IT in the PhD program, and it is a required course for the Health IT certificate. This is my sixth time teaching the course which I revised and restarted teaching in the department in 2012 after a long dormant period. I am very impressed with the strong group of students from various areas on campus such as health administration and policy, computer science, psychology, and, of course, information systems. Among them, there are those who already have experience in the health IT industry in various positions and with prior PhD and MSc degrees. I look forward to another exciting semester full of interesting discussions and exchange of ideas. ~ Dr. Koru
